May 2021 Home Prices in San Diego County

With high demand and low mortgage rates, home prices are high in San Diego county, as they are across the nation. According to the San Diego Association of Realtors May Report, the median home price in San Diego County was up 31.1% over the previous year at $865,000 for detached, single-family homes. Condos were up 24.1% over the previous year at $540,000.


May 2021 Days on Market Until Sale in San Diego County

Days on the market until sale for May 2021 continued at record low levels. It was 20 days on the market for single-family detached homes, the same as April, and 29 days in May 2020. For condos and duplexes it was 18 days in May vs. 20 days in April, and 26 days in May 2020.


Mortgage Rate Expectations for June in San Diego

According to data from Freddie Mac released on June 3rd, the 30 years fixed-rate mortgage stood at 2.99%. Rates continue to remain low, but some buyers are being priced out of the market as home prices continue to climb.
